Thanks to Dave, from the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, we were treated to a visit from some native New Hampshire animals who are currently residents of the center. Dave explained how these species prepare for winter in the wild, and patiently answered all of our questions. Visiting today were a peregrine falcon, a wood turtle, two large brown bats, and best of all, a beaver! What a wonderful opportunity to get 'up close and personal' with New Hampshire wildlife---thanks, Dave!
