1st Annual Amherst Town Library Pet Show!

Nick and his corn snake, Tidbits
The weather smiled on us, and gave us a beautiful, breezy summer day for our first ever PET SHOW.  Kids brought their pets,  kids came to see, and a wonderful time was had by all!

"Dreamcatchers" at the Library!

This dreamcatcher is 8ft. in diameter!
Last Thursday, a group of creative and energetic young patrons got together to make the biggest "dreamcatchers" I've ever seen!! They'll be hanging from the trees in the front lawn for the summer---helping to remind us to "Dream Big---Read"!
"We made this ourselves!"

It takes a lot of kids to make an enormous dreamcatcher!

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center visits!

Here is a tiny member of the owl family, a saw-whet owl, who was visiting us with Dave of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center.  Dave introduced us to some other "Creatures of the Night", too---an opossum, and two tiny bats!--We all enjoyed learning more about the amazing animals that live here in New Hampshire---Thanks, Dave!
